Glimmers of Something Familiar

by David Meyer

abstract, installation (outdoor)
144 x 600 in 366 x 1,524 cm

This piece consists of four large veils suspended across a wide mountain area known as the Valley of the Owls on the island of Paros, Greece. The arrangment of the piece was inspired by the daily drying of laundry, which I observed walking the streets of Parikia during a generous residency at the Hellenic International Studies in the Arts.
